LOTD Red Wine... Sparkling

Autumn is here! And after two grey rainy days we have a sunny but fresh Thursday.

Inspired by red leaves and glittering dewdrops I did this look today:

Have a wonderful Thursday!

LOTD Sparkle Pink

Today I'm wearing something neutral-grey, so I wanted to add some bright color to the outfit.

Products used:
MAC Paintpot Artifact
MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow Quartz Fusion
Kiko Eye Shadow Colour Sphere
MAC Eye Shadow Blanc Type
MAC Pigment Neo-Orange
Armani Mascara Eyes to Kill

Tip: MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow has a lot of sparkle and glitter in it. So use a moist (not wet) brush for applying. So nothing can fall down. I use MAC Fix+ for this, just two pumps will do it.

Cheers!

Tutorial Anna Sui

I've already showed you my favorites of the new In Beauty and promised to do some tutorials and to make my own version - from runway to ready-to-wear:

Let's start with Anna Sui's runway look for autumn/winter 2012/2013:

It's a very strong and bright blue color, it's not only an eyeliner, the whole lid was filled with the opaque color. The focus was on the upper lid, so no mascara or color under the eye beside a little blue point in the middle of the eye.

Tip: blue doesn't like red undertones, so be sure to use a good foundation and concealer to cover up spots or red marks. Don't use a red toned blush, I just used some (pale) bronzer to complete this look.

... and here's my version:

start with a primer (I used Mac Paints Bare Study)
and a white kohl pencil for the water line (IsaDora Inliner)

If you find it hard to draw a symmetric line, start with a
white line first and then fill it out.
You can easily correct the white line with a q-tipp.
See also tutorial here.

Fill out the white line with a blue eyeliner (Lime Crime's Lazuli)
For more depth go over with a black eyeliner
be sure to wait long enough until the blue color is dry

clean the white line if something's left
go with some brown shimmer into the crease and blend
it up to the eye brown for more definition
(Bobbi Brown shimmer brick)

For more definition under the eye use a matte brown eye shadow
and blend it upwards to the wing
Don't forget the little point!
I marked it in the inner corner because under the eye it looks like a teardrop
And because I used mascara on the under lashes it won't be seen well anyway.
Mascara, eye brown and ready!

LOTD Pink and Red

As I already said: Summer time is color time.
So inspired by the pink and red ombre nails (here) I did this look today.

The bright red is from Lime Crime's China Doll palette and the pink is from Lime Crime's Palette d'Antoinette.

Happy Monday!

LOTD Starry Starry Night

Do you know this song?
Starry starry night, paint your palette blue and grey...

Somehow I had Don McLean's song in mind, when I did this look. It's such a beautiful song, you gotta listen to it here.

Products used:
MAC Paints Bare Study (as a base)
Maybelline Expression khol pencil
MAC Mega Metal Shadow Unflappable
Sephora My Boyfriends Jeans N°94
Max Factor 2000 kcal Mascara

Tip: Since my complexion has a red undertone which doesn't go well with blue eye shadows, be sure to go over all red spots with a good concealer.

T.G.I.F!!!!

LOTD Smokey Eyes with Bronzer

Have you ever tried to use your blushes and bronzer and powders for the eyes?

Why not? It works also very good. You just have to be careful with strong colors. They might not be suitable for the sensitive skin in the eye area and cause allergies. e.g. some of MAC Cream Colour Bases are for lips or cheeks only.

This look is done with a greyish black eye shadow from MAC and blended out with Bronzer. Eye liner is from Lime Crime.
*** Review coming soon ***

Have a lovely day!

LOTD Silver

This is a little bit too dark on the pic and somehow it looks blurry. I took a few pictures, but they all came out the same way. It might be the silver shadow that causes that "phenomena".

So in real it's not that blurry but fine blended of course.

Look is done with Mercury from Lime Crime's Palette d'Antoinette and Sleek Make-up Matte Palette V2. Mascara: Armani Eyes to Kill

T.G.I.F!!!!

Happy Weekend everybody!

LOTD - neon lilac

Summer time is color time :-)
Either on the lips or on the eyes. For a nude look I put some bronzer on my cheeks. It seems I can't leave the house without some color... why should I?

This look is done with Lime Crimes Ribbonesque form the Palette d'Antoinette and Sleek Make-up's Matte Palette V2. Mascara from Armani: Eyes to Kill

Have a great day!

LOTD Lime Crime Macarooned

Another summer look in bright friendly colors done with Lime Crime's Palette d'Antoinette.

Here I used mainly Macarooned, the peach-orange eye shadow combined with some colors of the Sleek Make-up Matte V2 palette.

To keep it light I only used mascara on the upper lashes.

Have a great day!

LOTD - Waves

What to say besides T.G.I.F.? I'm totally wiped out from another rather uneventful week dreaming of the Indian Ocean, waves and some surfing sessions. Maybe next year...

Inspired by great waves and lovely pics of the blue sea I did this look today. It's more neon than natural but the pigmentation of the eye shadows is amazing.

Products used:
Lime Crime Palette d'Antoinette
Sleek Make-up Matte Palette V2
Max Factor 2000 kcal Mascara

Hava a great weekend & Hang loose!

LOTD - inspired by Celine

Who said pink is for Barbie's only?

If you mix it with wine red or brown it can be elegant. Have a look at Celine's combination from A/W 2012. Baby pink trousers with a wine red leather jacket is a great mix, don't you think?

used products:
Lime Crime Royal Flush
Sleek Make-up Palette matte V2
random grey Eyeliner
Armani Eyes to Kill mascara

LOTD - neon purple

Today I wanted to use Lime Crimes powerful colors, so I did this neon purple-lilac look today.

used products:
Lime Crime Palette d'Antoinette
Lime Crime Eyeliner Orchidaceus
Make-up Store Microshadow Scale
Armani Eyes to Kill Excess

I really like the Lime Crime Palette d'Antoinette. Although the colors are so bright and really good pigmented you can receive a pale and discreet look, too.

Cheers!

So I'm ready for some summer bronzy chocolate look.

Tom Ford Creme eyeshadow Illicit (as a base)
Sleek Make-up i-Divine Sunset (orange in the inner corner, dark brown in the outher corner)

LOTD - Bronze

Weekend is coming, the weather is sunny and hot...
... of course I'm ill again :(

... but I try to ignore it. Despite my red nose I can do a nice eye make-up to feel better and cheer me up. Or let's put it this way: I don't have to look how I feel, right? ;-)))

Look is done with the Sleek Make-up i-Divine Sunset Palette.

TGIF!!!

PS: and again I have no clue why the pics are so pale after uploading on the blog. The colors are way more brighter!

Animal Lips - Frog

I already did this Chinchilla-Bunny today... here

and now I can't stop thinking what other animals can be created.

Animal Lips - Chinchilla Bunny

I already posted months ago about animal lips.

Now Lime Crime has got a competition going on called Make-up Mission Monday inspired by Paige Thompson.

So this is my version of animal lips: a Chinchilla-Bunny because the main color I used for this is Lime Crime's Chinchilla lipstick.

What do you think? Which would be your animal?
